Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale is a professional basketball player in the Dallas Wings, a team in the Women's National Basketball Association. She was a player for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the college level before being selected as the fifth pick overall by the Wings during the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2 1997, was the daughter of Yolanda Ogunbowale as well as Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale is her 26-year-old brother and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years old. Since she was the smallest of her siblings she was the most spoiled one of her parents. She has played in 73 appearances and accumulated 1,477 rebounds as well as 1,477 points throughout her playing career. Ogunbowale won gold medals at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships, 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships and 2013 3x3 FIBA U18 Championships. In July of 2014 she was chosen as a player on the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale is also selected on the ACC All-Freshman Team after her debut collegiate season. Kobe Bryant congratulated her after shooting a number of big shots in the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale's career in basketball is starting off well, and she will continue on the same path.
